Top Speed Hobbies, LLC ships orders within the United States only. We are committed to providing reliable, transparent shipping practices and accurate delivery expectations for our customers.
Order Processing Time
Most orders ship within 3–5 business days.
Many products sold by Top Speed Hobbies are sourced directly from authorized distributors before shipping from our facility. This allows us to offer a wider product selection while maintaining competitive pricing.
Processing time includes:
• Order verification
• Distributor fulfillment (when applicable)
• Receiving and inspection
• Packing and shipment
Business days are Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
Orders placed after 12:00 PM EST may begin processing the following business day.
Orders may occasionally be delayed due to inventory availability, payment authorization, or fraud prevention review.
Shipping Methods & Carriers
We ship using major carriers including UPS and USPS. Available service levels may include:
• UPS Ground
• UPS 3 Day Select
• UPS 2nd Day Air
• UPS Next Day Air
• USPS Priority Mail
• USPS Priority Mail Express
Top Speed Hobbies reserves the right to substitute carriers or service levels when necessary to prevent delays or delivery issues.

Hazardous & Regulated Items (Ground Shipping Only)
Some products are classified as hazardous or regulated under carrier and government transportation regulations and cannot be shipped by air.
These include, but are not limited to:
• Paints (acrylic, enamel, lacquer, solvent-based)
• Thinners and liquid cements
• Adhesives and solvents
• Aerosol products
• Lithium batteries (standalone or installed)
• Fuel-related or chemical products
Important information:
• Orders containing restricted items must ship via ground service, even if air shipping is selected
• Ground delivery typically takes 2–7 business days after shipment
• Air shipping options may be disabled or adjusted during processing
• Restrictions are required by UPS, USPS, FedEx, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), and IATA regulations
• Restricted items cannot be upgraded to air service
• Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, APO/FPO addresses, or international destinations may be delayed, modified, or canceled if restricted items are included

Shipping Rates
Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on:
• Package weight and dimensions
• Destination
• Selected shipping method
Authorization for Additional Shipping Charges
By placing an order, you authorize Top Speed Hobbies to charge your payment method for additional shipping-related costs incurred after checkout, including but not limited to:
• Multiple-package shipments
• Dimensional weight or oversized package charges
• Address correction fees
• Re-routing fees
• Carrier surcharges
Multiple Packages
Orders requiring more than one package will incur additional carrier charges plus a $2.00 handling fee per package.
Oversized or Heavy Packages
Oversized or heavy packages subject to dimensional weight pricing will incur additional carrier charges plus a $2.00 handling fee.
Examples include large model kits, train track systems, sets, and expansion packs.
These charges may not be reflected at checkout and may be applied during processing.
High-Value Orders (Signature Required)
Orders totaling $500.00 USD or more will ship with Signature Required.
Top Speed Hobbies reserves the right to require a signature on any shipment.
Orders Over $200
Orders exceeding $200.00 USD must ship to:
• The billing address on file with the bank, or
• A UPS Customer Care Center for pickup with valid government-issued ID
We do not ship high-value orders to hotels, motels, or bed & breakfasts.
P.O. Boxes / APO / FPO
P.O. Box and APO/FPO shipments must be sent via USPS. Additional fees may apply.
Express Shipping
Express shipping services are available where supported by the carrier.
Please note:
• Express services are not guaranteed
• Carriers do not offer money-back guarantees
• Business days only (no weekends or holidays)
• Backordered items are not eligible
• Hazardous and regulated items are not eligible
Re-Routing Packages
Customer-requested re-routing is subject to a $25.00 fee, plus any carrier charges.
Refused Deliveries
Customers who refuse delivery agree to be responsible for:
• All outbound and return shipping charges
• A 15% restocking fee
These amounts may be charged to the original payment method.
Address Accuracy
Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate shipping information.
Carrier address correction fees will be billed to the customer.
Tracking Information
Tracking information is sent by email once an order ships.
Please allow up to 24 hours for tracking to update.
Lost or Damaged Shipments
All claims for lost or damaged shipments must be reported within 5 days of delivery or expected delivery where reasonably possible.
To file a claim, customers must provide:
• Photos of the original shipping carton
• Photos of the shipping label
• Photos of the damaged merchandise
Replacement shipments may require signature confirmation.
If a package is marked “Delivered” by the carrier without signature confirmation, Top Speed Hobbies will assist with claims when possible but cannot guarantee recovery or replacement.
Packages believed stolen after confirmed delivery should be reported to local law enforcement.
Freight Forwarders & Third-Party Services
Shipments delivered to freight forwarders, parcel lockers, or third-party receiving services are shipped at the customer’s own risk.
Top Speed Hobbies is not responsible for loss, damage, or fraud once delivery is confirmed to these services.
Final Notice
Top Speed Hobbies reserves the right to ship using a carrier or service level of our choosing when necessary to complete delivery.
